As a result of failure of a main Transportation Ministry computer, many of the ministry’s services are halted on Tuesday. This includes theory tests, changing ownership of a vehicle, reception hours at ministry offices or the operation of its online services.
The outage reported on Tuesday morning, July 23, 2019, is nationwide, bringing an abrupt halt to many services.
The ministry message read: “Due to a technical malfunction in the Ministry of Transportation’s main computer, there will be no reception at all branches of the Licensing Offices throughout the country until further notice. In addition, licensing cannot be performed at post office branches, at the automated stations (Rishomat) or all online services.
“In this context, it is not possible to issue driver and vehicle licenses by mail or online, and it is not possible to transfer ownership of a vehicle. A notification of a return to normal activity will be published when the error is corrected”.
