Hundreds of mispalalim traveled to Shechem during the night to daven at Kever Yosef. The event was coordinated with the IDF in advance and participants enjoyed the protection of military personnel. The event is usually kept quiet, a move that facilitates security arrangements, hoping to avoid a confrontation with PA residents of Shechem.
Jeeps and armored vehicles escorted the buses to the kever, permitting the many Breslov chassidim to daven at the holy site, now in the heart of Shechem, a PA terrorist center.
Many lamented the sad state of the kever, once a site for Jewish visitors from around the world, and the site of the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva. The burial site of Yosef HaTzaddik has now become another place for the Arabs to deface, reeking from urine and trash, as the residents of Shechem continue to deface all that is holy to the Jews.
Israel on the other hand opts to ignore the Oslo Accord which guarantees free and safe access to Kever Yosef, also guaranteeing the integrity of the site, a reality that has long been forgotten by governments of Israel.
