The terrorist responsible for the murder of IDF soldier Ronen Lubarsky HY”D, Islam Naji, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a military court on Monday, July 22, 2019.

The Ofer Military Court sentenced Naji to life imprisonment and eight additional months for interfering in the investigation. In line with criminal law, he must also pay damages in the amount of NIS 258,000 within two years of his sentencing.

Lubarsky was a member of the elite Duvdevan unit and was gravely injured when a large marble slab was dropped onto him from above. He died of his injuries a few days later, at the age of 20.

The terrorist’s home was also razed.
