Monday, 19 Tammuz, marked the 60th yahrzeit of Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Halevi Herzog Z”TL, the first Chief Rabbi of Israel, from 1936 during the British Mandate, to his petira in 1959.
Among those visiting the kever in the Sanhedria Cemetery in Jerusalem were Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau Shlita and Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef Shlita.
Also seen in the photos is Yitzchak Herzog, Chairman of the Jewish Agency and whose paternal grandfather was the late former chief rabbi, and whose father was Chaim Herzog, who served two terms as the Sixth President of Israel.
