The ISA (Israel Security Agency/Shin Bet) on Sunday announced that during June 2019, during joint operations involving the IDF and other security forces, they arrested Adel Abu Hadaib, a resident of the Bedouin community of Rahat, in southern Israel.
The ISA investigation determined that Abu Hadaib became a Hamas supporter after being exposed to Hamas via the internet. He is accused of preparing an IED, which was going to be used in a terrorist attack against an Israeli hotel, which he was familiar with by working in proximity to the hotel. He reportedly purchased components which would be used to construct a rocket.
During his investigation, Abu Daib turned over five grenades (two gas grenades, two stun grenades and a smoke grenade).
A criminal indictment was filed against him in the Be’er Sheva District Court.
