Mazel Tov. I can just imagine at tomorrows kiddish in Satmar Shuls and Young Israels Shuls. Each will try to show how according to the teachings of their rebbeim how Shiva Asar b’Tamuz is significant to this milestone. I say Elu valu divrei elokim chaim.
I thought YWN was an American site, not an Israeli site, even if the signature line says “Israel Desk”.
I understand that YWN may be aggregating content from both countries. But, in the stories that YWN posts, the titles should be edited to reflect and befit an American organization.
YWN stories about Mr. Trump use the title “US President Trump” while stories with Israeli politicians address them as simply “PM Netanyahu”.
The impression conveyed by doing this is that the readers are Israelis first and then Americans, which is obviously so wrong on so many levels. As we are Americans, not Israelis, the writing styles should be reversed:
Stories with Mr. Trump should use the title “President Trump” without the “US” qualifier, while stories with Israeli politicians should use qualify the title with the country, as in “Israeli PM Netanyahu”, not “PM Netanyahu”. He is not anyone’s “PM”, other than those who live under his rule in the State of Israel.
On a related note, all this fawning over Zionist kofrim, about which Zionist kofer has reigned longer than the other Zionist kofer, is nauseating and should be of no interest to anyone associated with the word “Yeshiva”, unless YWN means “Yeshiva” in the Mizrachi use of the term.
While on the topic of editing, “According to King, is one inspects “, should be “According to King, if one inspects “…
It is of great interest to see how Hashem has given Netanyahu the strength he needs to continue being a PM over such an amount of time despite all of the allegations, and all the elections he has faced.
