The International Siyum HaShas that will take place in about a half year in Yerushalayim under the auspices of Agudas Yisrael and Degel Hatorah, is likely going to be in Yerushalayim’s Arena Stadium, which accommodates 11,650 people.
It appears the event will take place on 6 Teves 5780 in the capital. The organizing committee will be comprised of representatives of both parties. Degel has already appointed the members while Agudas Yisrael is still in the process of deciding who will be on the committee.
With the venue being leaked, there is already much criticism as many believe the Arena Stadium is simply far too small for the many tens of thousands who wish to participate in such an event. They explain at the last siyum, there were 15,000 seats in the Ammunition Hill area and that was too small back then, some seven plus years ago.
Kikar Shabbos News adds that an effort was made to include the Shas party but it appears that like last time, Shas will hold its own separate event with its rabbonim and Gedolei Yisrael.
