US President George W. Bush is seeking to raise an additional $200 million towards assisting the Palestinian Authority as another donors conference convenes in London.
$150 is to be earmarked for general assistance and the additional $50 million for the continued training of security forces. The funds being sought by the president are in addition to $100 million already allocated to the PA in the 2009 budget.
Bush remains critical of Arab nations, accusing them of falling short of their obligation towards the PA and the regional peace process.
