Seven fire apparatus are already working a growing brush fire in the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood of Jerusalem, including a tanker supplying additional water to firefighters working the blaze, which is still out of control. The fire is described as being between Ramat HaGolan Street in Ramat Eshkol and Route 9 (Ramat Shlomo).

Firemen are working under difficult conditions from a topographical perspective, and they are doing their utmost to prevent the fire from reaching homes. Firefighting planes are also working the fire in the hope of preventing its spread to the residential area.
