On Sunday, the Israel Police and the Ministry of Transportation initiated and focused on the safety and condition of buses used to transport children to summer camps in Holon.
During the operation, 42 buses were inspected;
• 12 were removed from service due to major safety issues
• 8 drivers were cited for driving unfit vehicles
• 19 bus licenses were suspended for 48 hours to permit repairs
• A minibus was towed due to severe safety flaws, after determining it was no longer roadworthy.
