The search for missing Mevo Modi’in resident and father of five, Moshe Ilovitz, 37, continues. He has been missing since the Shabbos before Lag B’Omer, last seen at the tziyun of the Rashbi in Meron. In addition to this tragic situation, his family is one of the 40 Mevo Modi’in who lost all they had as a fire swept through the community and destroyed their homes, and for many, also their vehicles.
They hope he’s alive and the search for Moshe Eliezer Ilovitz was renewed by the Israel Dog Unit, which returned to targeted searches in the area of Har Meron, where he was last seen before Lag B’Omer.
Almost 50 days have passed since Moshe Eliezer Ilovitz, the father of five children from Mevo Modi’im was seen.
His wife continues to be mispallel and call for assistance in finding her husband and her children’s father.
The unit, headed by Yekutiel Ben-Yaakov, is continuing the search. Ben-Yaakov explains, “We came here for another day to continue the search for Moshe Ilovitz, who has been missing since Lag B’Omer. We have not given up, perhaps [we are] frustrated, and perhaps tired, but optimistic we will still find him and bring him home”.
“We hope that he is alive and under current realities, it is difficult. This is why we are here, to try to find his tracks – to find some sign. We hope we will be successful, and Yehi Ratzon that we will merit finding him”.
