Greek Court Expected To Release Bnei Brak Fraudster [VIDEO]

A Greek court on Monday sentenced Shimon Hayut to 11 months in jail. Hayut us the young former Bnei Brak resident who was arrested recently with the assistance of Interpol, working with Israel Police. Hayut’s notoriety stems from his fraudulent actions, swindling many European women out of large sums of money.

The latest conviction is for using a forged passport. However, the court has delayed implementation of the sentence for three years, and since there are currently no outstanding warrants for his arrest, he is expected to be released.

His attorney, Jackie Kahn said, “My client was charged in an expeditious legal process for using a forged passport and sentenced to 11 months imprisonment. The implementation of the sentence was delayed for three years, and an amount was agreed upon for bail. Once that amount is paid, he will be released”.

Hayut has executed his scam on women from Scandinavian countries by posing as Simon Leviev, a son of the real estate billionaire Lev Leviev.
