Minister Betzalel Smotrich, the number two man on the Bayit Yehudi list, called on New Right party chairman, Naftali Bennet, not to split the right-wing vote again to “avoid having right-wing votes trashed in the upcoming election in September”.
“Reminds us of something you already did: A major error, even if unintended, leading to the loss of a great number of votes and therefore, we are in new elections which places a right-wing government in danger” tweeted Smotrich.
He adds, “We heard from you in recent days the same theories and the same promises on which you founded the New Right – that splitting the right would increase the [right-wing] bloc”.
