In light of the announced strike on Tuesday by Population Authority officials and border controllers, backed by the nation’s labor federation, airlines have informed airport officials that they may cancel all flights on Tuesday to and from Ben Gurion Airport in response.
80,000 passengers are expected to arrive and leave Israel on Tuesday on 540 flights, and the strike and subsequent cancellation of those flights will result in considerable economic damage as well as cause considerable disruption in the lives of the travelers who will not be able to leave or arrive. The strike is prompted by the planned closure of the S’dei Dov Airport, with Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-Dov explaining there was an emergency consultation held on Sunday morning to discuss the planned closure of S’dei Dov by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who they hope will “Weigh the situation and see the bigger picture and decide to reject the plan to shut down the airport”.
In his threatening statement, the labor leader added that if the prime minister does not seriously weigh reversing his decision, broader and more widespread protest steps are likely to following beginning on Monday.

Chayos !!!
What gives them the right to inconvenience 80000!!!passengers plus all their families. Just think if each passenger has two additional family members impacted that’s about a quarter of a million people impacted!! Did they ask anyone permission before they strike? Did the government give them the OK to strike??
This is socialist Israel, not capitalist America. In Israel the workers are the king’s. But don’t worry the Dems are working very hard to change things in America.
For the record, the Sdei Dov airport is built on private land, and it is being closed because the owners want their land back. They have been very patient, and there is really no legal ground for the protesters to stand on.
Klugeryid: EY is a democracy and labor actions are totally legal as they are in the U.S. and Europe, albeit disruptive. I don’t recall you using the term “chayos” against the Peleg hoodlums whose demonstrations are not only disruptive but frequently violent and causing physical damage ad not just inconvenience.
The court has issued an injunction to stop the strike. I imagine there may still be a sick out or slow down.

Very perceptive of you. That was my point.
I was highlighting the duplicity of the self hating jews masquerading as being so concerned for others as long as the protest are for כבוד שמים but here they are silent
