The Yisrael Beitenu party on Tuesday evening attacked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s efforts to cancel the planned Knesset elections set for September 17, 2019. “They are beginning to internalize that Israeli citizens don’t buy ‘god was chosen to rule’, referring to Netanyahu – Yahadut Hatorah: We do not have a problem with elections once again
As reported, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein on Tuesday persuaded Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to reexamine going to early elections for the 22nd Knesset.
Edelstein tweeted “the continuation of the election process is a breach of trust to the Israeli citizens who are losing billions just because of personal disqualifications of certain party heads. Dozens of MKs from different parties have approached me to find a solution to cancel the dissolving of Knesset. I found a parliamentary outline that may permit canceling the most unnecessary elections in Israel’s history”.

Yahadut Hatorah responded: “As we announced in the past, the redundant and wasteful elections were caused by the whim of one man. We have no problem dealing with the elections again, and we know how to prove our strength B’ezras Hashem.
“If requested to cancel elections, we will examine who the political partners are in such a process and only then we will decide”.
In Yisrael Beitenu on the other hand, they launched an attack directly aimed at the prime minister following his support for renewed efforts to cancel the early election. “What guides Netanyahu tonight is not the good of the State of Israel, but his fear of losing power”.
Yisrael Beitenu continued, “Netanyahu, who twice within six months dissolved the Knesset, began to understand that Israeli citizens do not accept the approach that ‘god has been chosen to rule'”.
