What appeared to be just another apartment in the chareidi city of Modi’in Illit was in fact used for drugs. The Petach Tikvah Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday released the chareidi suspect without restrictions.
The residents of Meshach Chachma Street in the city were shocked about two weeks ago, when police arrived during the predawn hours in a raid of an apartment, which is near yeshivos, that was being used for drugs. A resident of the city was taken into custody for running the operation. In the hearing held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, the court released the suspect without restrictions after the prosecution failed to provide evidence tying him to the drug operation. Regarding the second suspect, also a resident of the chareidi city, his hearing was set for the following day and police are seeking to extend his detention.
The attorney for the first suspect, who was released, David Nir, is quoted telling Kikar Shabbos News that “My client has no connection to this. The story is quite simple. He was requested by one of the mispallalim of the shul in the area to assist a widow (the owner of the apartment in question), to help move the contents of the apartment, so he came with his vehicle and loaded a number of bags of clothing that were given to him. He took the clothing to another location and then gave it to the widow (A.R.)”.

mamesh the gemara, if you do not teach your son a trade, you are teaching him to steal (or worse like this case.) we have reached levels of rishus unthinkable to the Talmudic rabbis.
