An IDF Spokesperson announced on Sunday evening that beginning on Monday morning, and operation will take place to neutralize a minefield and disarm the mines in the area.

The Minefield in question is located near Kibbutz Misgav Am in the north of Israel.

The reason given for the disarmament is due to a planned engineering operation that has been planned for some time.

During the operation, which is expected to take approximately two months, the IDF has announced that explosions will likely be heard but that residents should not be concerned as each of the explosions is monitored and controlled.
