On Sunday morning a phone poll was conducted of cabinet members to approve the appointments of Rafi Peretz and Betzalel Smotrich as Ministers of Education and Transportation respectively, in the transition government. The ceremony to change the minister in the Transportation Ministry took place on Sunday. The event will take place in the Education Ministry on Tuesday.

The appointments were approved by the entire cabinet. In a message released by Cabinet Secretary Tzachi Braverman to cabinet members he wrote “Appointment of ministers – telephone poll. This is being done in line with a request from the prime minister, to bring it to a cabinet vote”.

Braverman added “In line with protocol, I would be grateful to you if you approve the matter as soon as possible”.
