An agreement has been reached permitting the release from jail of two suspects involved in the case against Chief Rabbi Yonah Metzger, who faces allegations of accepting bribes, tax evasion and money laundering.

Simcha Korkovski and Tzion Tzioni have been released from detention, sent to house arrest. Korkovski’s attorney, Yaakov Weinrott stated “the fact that police released my client to house arrest despite the serious charges against him attest to the fact police realize he did nothing and we will prove his innocence in the near future.”
