A 40-year-old man was killed in a mechanical accident while he was fixing the shovel of a tractor near Moshav Arugot on Monday.

The worker/technician was found with no life signs near the tractor by locals from the town who called emergency services. United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Tom Elnadiv from Kiryat Malachi who was nearby when the accident occurred responded to the emergency.

“When I arrived at the scene of the emergency together with other volunteers from United Hatzalah, we found the man with no signs of life. Locals told us that the man was a mechanic who had come to fix the tractor and that the shovel fell on him while he was working on the machine. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the man’s injuries, there was nothing for us to do. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
