Qatari Funds Enter Gaza – Terrorists From Gaza Fire On IDF Soldiers

A few hours after the Qatari envoy, Muhammad al-Emadi, entered with $25 million into Gaza, the Palestinian media reported that Palestinians had fired at a special IDF force operating in the Khan Yunis area.

Mohammed Al-Emadi, the Qatari envoy, entered Gaza via the Erez Crossing on Sunday to transfer money to residents of Gaza. Al-Amadi came with $15 million, and another $10 million was transferred to Israel for the purchase of fuel for the Gaza power plant. After entering Gaza, the Palestinian media reported that Palestinians fired at a special IDF force operating in the Khan Younis area of Gaza and forced it to withdraw from the area.

The Qatari grant is divided as follows: $10 million will be transferred to Israel for the purchase of fuels that are transferred to the power station in Gaza City for operation. About $10 million is used as a cash grant for needy families, with each family receiving $100. In addition, $5 million in cash will be donated to the UN’s “Cash For Work” projects, where Gazans are employed temporarily.

MK (Yisrael Beitenu) Oded Forer commented on the transfer of funds to Hamas in Gaza and said: “The transfer of another payment of millions of dollars to Hamas in response to the shooting of Sderot, the [incendiary] balloons, the confrontations on the [border] fence, and the fires that the government tried to hide is another sign of the loss of the government, the roles and work arrangements instead of dealing with the security of Israeli citizens. Immediately after the payment, Hamas responded by firing at an IDF force, giving in to terror, which is abandoning Israel’s security and bringing the shame of the problems in the face of terrorism to a new high”.
