HaGaon HaRav Eliezer Markowitz ZT”L, one of the rabbonim of Yeshivas Netivot Shalom, was niftar in Bnei Brak’s Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital at the age of 75.

The niftar was born in 22 Kislev to Rav Yerachmiel Markowitz ZT”L and Moras Esther A”H. He worked tirelessly for years, giving shiurim and spreading Torah, credited with bringing back many baalei teshuvah.

The niftar was a talmid chacham and viewed as an expert in all sugyos in Shas, always makpid in his adherence to Torah and Mitzvos.

The rav is survived by his rebitzen and many talmidim as well as his children: sons Rav Pesach Markowitz of Yerushalayim and Rav Yerachmiel of Modi’in Illit, sons-in-law Rav Yehoshua Burad, Rav Yosef Ostrei, Rav Menachem Levi, Rav Betzalel Ordeman, and Rav Avraham Yeshayahu Shulwitz.

The levaya began on Sunday at 1:00PM from his home at 3 Hoshea Street in bnei Brak via Yeshivat Netivot Shalom to the Ponevezh Cemetery for kvura.
