The Israel Dog Unit has issued another call for volunteers to assist in the search for a missing father of five and Mevo Modi’im resident Eli Ilovitz, who has been missing since the Shabbos before Lag B’Omer, last seen in Meron.
The unit issued the following message on Thursday: “The unit is calling for volunteers on Thursday afternoon, and early Friday morning, June 14th, to continue the search for Eli. The Israel Dog Unit has been leading the search, several weeks, for Eli, but needs help: volunteers to search in nearby wilderness; volunteers to post photos, to drive/shuttle searchers, and funds to offset the costs of the search”.
“The command center will be at Bolton Guest House in Meron.
“We need all of the help we can get, people who could walk in rough terrain, people with vehicles who can drop searchers off and pick them up on different trails, off road vehicles, regular vehicles, 4.30 to 9.30PM Thursday.
“Early Friday morning we will again resume search 5:00AM to 10;00AM. Confirm by message if you can come, stating which shift and what you can do by calling 054-487-6709 or email [email protected]
“Those joining search are requested to bring flashlights, water, back-pack, sandwiches, spare batteries, proper hiking boots and clothes, cap, charged phone, to meeting spot – Briefing and lodging at Bolton guest house where we will set up our command center.
“No need for sleeping bags. Bolton guest house will provide places to sleep, bed, blankets, plenty of coffee, showers and towels for all searchers staying over until Friday, free of charge”.
