A 9-year-old boy on his way to cheder on Tuesday morning was traveling on his two-wheeled scooter when he was struck by a bus at the intersection of Rambam and Smilansky Streets in Hadera and seriously injured. Witnesses report he was struck as he crossed the road.

The injured boy was treated on the scene and transported to Hillel Yafeh Hospital in Hadera.

MDA EMT Refael Behudna reports the child was on the street when he arrived, several meters from his scooter. He added, “Citizens who witnessed the accident told me the bus hit him when he was crossing the road. We provided emergency medical care to stop the bleeding. He was splinted and his pain addressed and transported by paramedics in serious/stable condition.”
