In an operating involving the IDF, ISA (Israel Security Agency/Shin Bet) and Israel Police, authorities apprehended Ahmed Ibrahim Nasrallah in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Tuqwa in the Gush Etzion area. He is suspected of hurling a hummer at an Israeli vehicle, injuring a motorist lightly in April 2019. The suspect has a rich history of security-related violations, and he was last released from an Israeli prison in May 2018. An indictment is being filed against him.
In addition, other suspects, who allegedly hurled firebombs at the community of Migdal Ohz in the same area, on May 4, 2019, were apprehended.
Commander of the Duchifat Battalion, Lieutenant-Colonel Nir Ifergan, said: “After an intelligence effort by the IDF and the Israel Police, we carried out an arrest operation during which we arrested three suspects for throwing Molotov cocktails at the settlement. The battalion is working day and night to create security for the residents of the sector. This is one of many examples. The commanders and the soldiers understand very well the importance of closing the circle for every hazard, and at the end of this activity all the members of the cell were arrested.”
