Preparations are underway for Shavuos at the Kosel, with officials expecting tens of thousands of visitors and mispallalim arriving over the Shavuos weekend. A large tzibur is expected for Shachris on Shavuos in particular, as many are at the Kosel and inside the Old City during Shavuos night. Kosel officials explain that expected mispallalim include many Admorim and Roshei Yeshiva.

Israel Police is deploying reinforced forces to secure all the roads leading to the Kosel Plaza during Shabbos and Shavuos. The mechitzah will also be placed in the upper square of the Kosel in order to allow tefilla to be held on each plaza, allowing tefilos in all areas of the plaza.

It should be noted that following the donation of Sifrei Torah in recent years, tens of minyanim will be able to benefit. The ushers and the police will not allow the entry of Sifrei Torah outside the Kosel Plaza.
