Former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has another possible move available to her as she weighs her political future, and that is taking a hiatus from the political arena. According to a Maariv Online report, persons in her party signal that this option is being weighed by Shaked as well, and it does depend somewhat on what her husband Ofer says, as his opinion always weighs in on her decisions.

In fact, the report adds that Ofer Shaked and Gilat Bennet met and discussed the option, and ten persuaded the two, their spouses, Ayelet Shaked and Naftali Bennet, to team together and launch the New Right party.

At this time, Shaked is weighing her options, which also include running again with Bennet as an independent party, signing an agreement with another party, or breaking off and joining another party.

The popular former senior minister will have to make her decision soon as elections for the 22nd Knesset are set for September 17, 2019.
