Two more serious road accidents occurred in Israel on Sunday night. The first accident claimed the life of a 20-year-old male who was involved in an accident between a car and a bus. The accident occurred on the bridge at the Ayal interchange above Highway 6.
Volunteers from United Hatzalah and ambulances from Magen David Adom responded to the emergency, however, paramedics at the scene were forced to pronounce the man’s death due to the severity of his injuries.
In a separate incident, a 30-year-old driver was in critical condition and suffered a full-system trauma after his car ran into a tree on La Guardia Street in Tel Aviv. The man was treated at the scene for his injuries before being taken to Tel Hashomer hospital for further treatment.
According to the Ministry For Road Safety in Israel, 130 people have been killed on the roads in Israel since the beginning of 2019. Over the past 12 months, 315 people have been killed in motor vehicle accidents. The total number of people killed in motor vehicle accidents since the founding of the state of Israel is 33,861.
