“My son never dreamt that his bar mitzvah would look like this” said the mother of the chosson bar mitzvah, as the event was celebrated in Nachal Sorek, a community which opened its arms to residents of Mevo Modi’im, who lost their homes in a recent fire that destroyed 40 of the community’s 50 homes.

The community is providing food and lodging for the families, which literally lost everything in the fire. The chosson bar mitzvah and his family were quite moved by the outpouring of love and concern, and tears were flowing in response to the chessed shown to them.

The head of the council, Eli Eskozido said, “Your son is just like one of our sons, and we are excited to see a perfect production by the community which was busied doing so out of love and concern”.
