OUTRAGEOUS: Police Officer Who Viciously Beat Autistic Chareidi Teen Still On The Job – No Charges

MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Yisrael Eichler has sent a letter to Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, questioning why the border policeman documented on video beating an autistic chareidi youth mercilessly has yet to be charged.

As reported by YWN-Israel, the teen was accused of pushing a female plainclothes policewoman, which has since been proven by video footage to be 100% false.

The officer phoned for backup and when additional manpower arrived, the young man was pushed to the sidewalk face down and beaten without mercy, despite the cries from the victim and bystanders.

In his letter, Eichler refers to the incident, which occurred in Jerusalem’s Makor Baruch neighborhood, insisting that the policeman involved must be suspended immediately.

Eichler insists the brutal actions of the border policeman are unacceptable and she must face the legal consequences of his actions. He also questioned why border police had to be sent to address Lag B’Omer bonfires, citing it was clearly an act aimed against chareidim.

After the brutal beating of the victim, Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman spoke with the victim’s parents, assuring them he will not permit the matter to be forgotten, promising the responsible persons will be compelled to face the full weight of the law.

  1. how was the officer to know he was autistic? and what type of parents/friends let an autistic person attend a demonstration?

  2. Absolute best border police officers in the world .
The outrageous behavior they continuously put up with makes me wonder how they stay sane .
    Politicians ?
    They’re always right .
Hard working officers that get spat on and verbally assaulted daily by troublemakers looking for a little night activity ? How dare they try and preserve peace .

  3. Hymish. Seriously? That’s how you maintain order? Maybe if someone did that to you you’d have a different opinion of what’s an appropriate way of maintaining order. You sicko.

  4. The videos don’t lie Yes, it’s tough to be a cop, but this kind of behavior is unacceptable. I also question why there was no medical assistance given. A person with a bloody face like that should have taken first for medical treatment and then if warranted arrested.

  5. he is not autistic /. His father got on the radio and confirmed that just simply special-needs he is 24 years old and pretty independent he did absolutely nothing to deserve it and the videos can prove that also about 50 to 100 people keept telling the police that he is special needs But were pushed away and typical person will not scream for his mother or father to come save them , Will simply say what do you want from me I did nothing but to keep asking for spoons help the come save them makes it very obvious he special needs Unfortunately the hate towards the חרדים people is Insane

  6. Ocho – where do you live ?
7000 miles away ? Thought so.
Clearly your an armchair quarterback – a very ignorant one – pontificating from his comfy little living room in Brooklyn getting your most accurate information and closed-minded ideas from good ole Yated , or the machers in shul .
——as opposed to HYMiSH —- who’s at ground zero for these Meshuga parties.
WHAT IS THAT GUY DOING THERE ? Have you watched the video carefully?
I’m referring to the one screaming and flailing his arms all whilst the mob surrounding him act like baboons .
    Autistic ??
Einstein – How in the world is anyone supposed to know he’s autistic ??
What was he doing there ?
    Where are his parents ?
    Where’s his guardian ??
Where’s anyone normal attempting to get him AWAY from a confrontation with law enforcement?
    Answer :
They’re all a bunch of “Ochos!”

  7. ah yid, when you or a family member is stuck in a traffic jam due to a hareidi demonstration and do not get timely treatment and suffer the consequences, i wonder how that impacts your view? or if you just miss your flight at TLV and have to pay for new tickets, what might you say?

  8. – I wouldn’t act like an out of control beheima , so no worries about any police “ doing that to me “
    Your insights are brilliant .

  9. DrYidd, this was a bonfire which wasn’t authorized and police came to remove the crowds and extinguish the fire. This poor mentally ill child was standing around and a undercover detective accused him of touching her (which was proven on video to have been a false accusation) which made the officers go wild on this poor ill child. Bystanders were shouting that the child has autism and their cries were ignored as seen clearly in the video

  10. hymish, that doesn’t give them the right to beat the guts out of a mentally disabled minor. Bystanders shouted at the police that he was autistic and the officers ignored them, this can be seen clearly in the video

  11. The main question should be, not if he’s autistic, not if the bonfire had to be put out, not even if he pushed or didn’t push a female officer , but why Border Police were sent to deal with a group that had an illegal bonfire lit.
Those who say that the forces that need to deal with these situations of unlawful (but not violent) activities have to put up with a lot are right, BUT, one needs to question why such a group (or in many cases Yassam forces) are sent to deal with these situations.
Some forces are known for their not patient, violent reactions towards groups, and these groups are overwelmingly settlers and hareidim. Regular policemen are usually better trained to deal with people and these forces are better trained to deal with violent, quickly escalating situations. Perhaps they thought that was the situation, perhaps the false report about a female officer led to the whole situation.
Whoever gave a no holds signal to his officers is really the culprit here and any investigation has to deal with developing a reliable protocol for each particular situation.

I have no patience for those above on this site that accuse a whole group of people for the actions of a minority subset…those who blame ALL hareidim for demonstrations that clog the streets.
    It is NOT ALL HAREIDIM.
Also, a blanket statement about the Border Policemen is really useful (sarc/not).

  12. EVERYONE-WATCH THE VIDEO!!!
An officer puts a firm hand on the suspect to non violently but decisevly distance him from an area that the suspect is moving towards. The suspect overreacts by violently flailing his arms and alternativly rotating his body wildly from side to side, that results in an officer being hit full force. The suspect attempts to break contact by backing away while flailing against the officer, but there is no choice but to arrest this suspect because of the violence directed against the police. While lunging backwards, he falls to the ground as he struggles against multiple officers. At no point do i see any beating, kicking, hitting or punitive force directed against this suspect. If you see a beating here, then show it to me. His bloody nose/face was an unfortunate result of his own decision to resist arrest.

  13. Whomever worded the title of this article should be arrested for inciting unfounded hatered against law enforcement who did their job the best they could.
Notice that this “kid” is bigger than most of the officers there.

  14. TO DRYIDD I’m not sure where you see in what I wrote that I condone any type of demonstration. Just for the record, I have written many posts condemning protests that inconvenience others. All protests must be coordinated with the police. what we see in most of these Hafganas is just plain hooliganism.

  15. DrYidd, you ask a very good question. The answer is the officer wasn’t to know he was autistic. This leads on to the next question which is why is the fact that the young man is autistic or “simply” special needs, in any way relevant? Your question suggests that it was only wrong to beat a young man senseless because he is autistic. It is wrong to beat anyone senseless just because you hate them. That is the relationship between the stormtrooper like Border Police and the native haredi citizens of Yerushalayim.
