Security forces including the IDF, ISA (Israel Security Agency/Shin Bet) and Israel Police during the night (Monday to Tuesday) arrested 17 PA (Palestinian Authority) residents suspected of involvement in acts of terror and/or violent confrontations with security forces. The arrests were made during counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron. The suspects have been turned over to the ISA for interrogation, which often leads to credible intelligence information which prevents future terror attacks.

During the operation in the PA area of Hebron, a M16 assault rifle and pistol were found and confiscated.

During a routine inspection at Tapuach Junction in Shomron, security forces confiscated “terror funds”, cash in the amount of “tens of thousands of shekels”.
