A fire broke out in Jerusalem’s Beit Malka School located on Malchei Yisroel Street in Geula at 4:20AM Monday. It appears the fire was caused by a short circuit in an air conditioner that was left on during the night.

The fire department arrived immediately and after ascertaining no one was inside the burning structure, the work of extinguishing the fire began. B’chasdei Hashem there were no injuries.

The fire was brought under control in about an hour and firefighters prevented the flames from spreading, thereby saving the building.

An official probe has been launched to determine the cause of the fire, which is believed to be an air conditioning unit left one, which short circuited.
