Kulanu MK Reportedly May Be Unwilling To Remain In A Coalition If PM Netanyahu Is Indicted

Activists affiliated with the Blue and White party protested outside the home of MK (Kulanu) Roy Folkman, calling on the party not to enter into a coalition government headed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who they feel will soon be indicted in some of the criminal investigations against him.

According to a News12 report, Folkman came out and told the protestors, “I give an accounting to my constituents on these matters. I will not explain myself to you. You voted for another party which sold you a bluff. Your lost. I am in the coalition and you are not”.

Folkman added, “I am definitely in favor of halting legislating to limit the Supreme Court, but with balance. We must discuss the numbers. The United Right-Wing party is demanding that a majority may be less than 61.

One of them responded to Folkman: “What will you tell your children when asked ‘what did you do to stop it’? During elections you called yourselves the responsible right-wing. Was Begin in favor of legislation to limit the court? We will continue protesting outside of your home, over and over again”.

MK (Blue and White) Ofer Shelach responded: “I respect MK Roy Folkman and also respect the decision of our people to speak to the heart of the matter. However, he and other straight people like him in the coalition cannot escape providing a straight answer. You will vote to provide immunity for Netanyahu and thereby turn the Prime Minister’s Office into a City of Refuge, or not? If you lend a hand to harming democracy so one man may escape punishment, or not?”

MK (Blue and White) Yair Lapid added, “Roy Folkman this morning admitted to the protestors outside that he is changing his mind because of pressure and is now weighing remaining in a coalition with Netanyahu after an indictment is filed against him. Folkman, is this why you entered politics? To work amid corrupt ones?”
