Rami Levi Informs Consumers to Return Tehina Which May Contain Salmonella


The Rami Levi supermarket chain announced on erev Shabbos that some of its tehina sold under its own brand name ‘Hamutag’ (המותג) may contain salmonella, and lead to fever and diarrhea.

According to Rami Levi officials, this recall applies to the Hamutag tehina with production date of December 1, 2018 to May 16, 2019 and ‘best used before’ date of December 1, 2019 to May 16, 2020.

Rami Levi Shivuk supermarket: “Due to its extreme caution, the chain requests its customers not to consume raw tehina from the specified dates. The chain is working to remove the product from the shelves. You can return the products to the point of sale and receive a full refund. The chain operates in full coordination with the Ministry of Health’s food service.”
