WATCH: Neturei Karta ‘Yom HaZikaron’ Hafgona at Kikar Shabbos Turns Into Fistfight

As people across Israel stopped to remember the fallen IDF soldiers and victims of terror, Neturi Karta extremists were once again out in Jerusalem’s Kikar Shabbos to protest the day.

At some point on Tuesday night, they tore an Israeli flag off of an Egged bus that was halted due to their protest. Police made an arrest.

On Wednesday morning, the group was back protesting.

One young person was disgusted with the protesters and was seen on video assaulting one of the protesters. YWN was unable to confirm what prompted him to get physical or if he was assaulted first.

While many Chareidim across Eretz Yisroel agree that the Yom HaZikaron sirens are not a Jewish Minhag, those that find themselves in a public setting when the sirens sound will stand respectfully, to avoid causing pain to the bereaved and a Chilul Hashem. Many will simply recite Tehillim or Mishnayos in memory of the fallen while standing at attention.

  1. If the kid who fights is Jewish he should be taught of the mitzva ve’uhavto l’riecho komoicho instead of punching another jew. This kid may be a student of secular teaching and that is very bad.

  2. It’s interesting that the secularists who decry “religious coercion” get so offended when religious Jews don’t obey their “religious” dictates such as the siren.
Religious coercion is okay, as long as it’s their religion being coerced upon others!

  3. Thank You YWN for being on guard to teach Klal Yisroel true Daas Torah. What would we do without you.

  4. a siren is not of jewish origin but is an effective way of making an announcement; works better than trumpets :).

  5. Uncle Ben-
Please educate yourself. Please . It’s difficult to read such an ignorant comment . Do you consider the expectation secularists have for you to have to display the most minimum show of dignity and respect to dead soldiers that protected your right to be a lazy pontificator unreasonable ?

  6. Not surprising that our resident trolls (Joey and Benny) choose to identify with these slime. As the article notes, even those Chareidim who are far from Tzionists, still have the derecho eretz to show respect for those who were niftar creating and defending the Medinah whose legitimacy they deny.

  7. YWN headline wasnt true. i would modify it to say the truth which is: WATCH:watch mindless jews beating up Neturei Karta. becouse the truth is that they would never lay a hand against another yid.

besides for the fact, ITS FILTHY!!! ITS DISGUSTING!!!! would anyone who commented above here be mechanech their kids to raise their hands on other yidden, because of a difference of opinion????? shomu shomayim!!!! and the was only 3 comments that decry this!!!! what could possibly be going thru the minds of the others!!!! this where the world has come to!!!! shocking!!!!!
what comes out of this, is that if someone would give me a choice, to be apart of their society, or of that hooligans society, i would go to that of the neturei karta with the biggest “shtultz and festkite”.

“Do you consider the expectation secularists have for you to have to display the most minimum show of dignity and respect to dead soldiers that protected your right to be a lazy pontificator unreasonable ?”

Seems to me you are ignoring the reality. It is “mainly” those same people who propagate verbal attacks against the Haredi (and who advocate to punish soldiers for refusing to listen to women singers) who also defend (for example) the Muslim’s rights to such things as Nakba day.

the kid who punched the neturei Karta guy yemach shemo vezichro is 100% right I give him full credit, had I been there I would have done the same thing if not worse, these beasts have a special place in hell waiting or them along with the members of lev tahor yemach shemam vezichram!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Every year it’s the same thing. A group of Netuei Karta demonstrate. Some photographers take pictures and videos. You people comment. Name calling back and forth. Don’t you get tired of it ever? Nothing that anyone writes will change the situation. Ask H-shem to help. Doven “Sim Shalom” with extra kavana.

And NEVER say yimach shemo on the name of any Yid.
