Chareidi Survivor From Telshe Stone Is Niftar On Holocaust Remembrance Day

R’ Dov Feivish Z”L, 92, a survivor, was niftar on Thursday morning, on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Rav Dov was born in Romania, and was 16 during the Holocaust, seeing the destruction of family members by the Nazis YSVZ before his very eyes. He was the only survivor from his family.

His grandchildren are quoted telling Kikar Shabbos News that Dov refused to talk about the events of the Holocaust all his life and even said that everything that was written and told is far from the terrible reality that they experienced during the Holocaust.

His wife, Gitel, said that in the past he had suffered insomnia due to the great suffering he suffered and the severe scars from the Holocaust, so he would speak a little and she would quickly record and write his words.

Twenty-two years ago, Reb Dov immigrated to Israel and moved to Telshe Stone. In the last year, since his condition weakened, he moved to his daughter’s home in the Ramat Shlomo.

On Thursday morning, his wife tried to wake him up without success. Then she realized that her husband had been niftar on the morning of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

His grandchildren say that tonight he was still singing tunes with clarity. But on Thursday morning he was taken to his new world.

The report added his family was working to arrange a proper kever worthy of their grandparent in Har Menuchos. According to them, the grandfather’s funeral is delayed because of the difficulty in obtaining a proper kever that is not built into the wall, but in the ground at Har Menuchos.
