Likudnik Challenges Pindrus’ Seat In Knesset

After the results of the election or 21st Knesset have been entered into the records, and even after he declared his allegiance on Tuesday, some believe that MK Yitzhak Pindrus’ slot, the eighth place on the list of Yahadut Hatorah, may not yet be final.

The reason for this is a petition filed by Amit Halevi, former bureau chief of MK Miri Regev and now on the Likud’s Knesset list in the 36th slot, claiming that the Likud should have received a 36th seat instead of the eighth slot going to Yahadut Hatorah, Pindrus’ slot.

Halevi, who petitioned the court, did so at the last minute, before the end of the date of appeals on the results of the elections to the 21st Knesset.

In his petition, he claims that it is actually the Likud is entitled to the mandate according to his calculations, and not Yahadut Hatorah.
