Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon on Thursday inaugurated the new municipal 106 service center. Mayor Leon stated, “I am proud and excited to inaugurate the new center of the city, especially on the eve of Pesach. The municipality’s access to the residents is an important and necessary component of service.
“We have set up a new and sophisticated center that respects its employees and residents, and it is a great excitement to see that everything working flawlessly. We will continue to improve the service to the resident, including shortening the waiting times for the phone call, as well as significantly cutting treatment times. This is true news for the city’s residents. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the residents of Jerusalem and the whole of Israel a Chag Somayach!”
It is added the city has increased its staff manning the 106-hotline number by 20%, adding one may seek assistance from the municipality via Facebook, the city website, SMS test messaging or WhatsApp. There is also the municipality app available for download and a special app for the chareidi tzibur.
