When Libya’s representative to the United Nations earlier in the week compared the situation in Gaza to the Nazi death camps of WWII, it prompted an immediate response from the representatives of the USA, Britain and France to the Security Council, with the ambassadors walking out of the session.

Syria’s ambassador saw things differently, adding, “Unfortunately, those who complain of being victims of genocide are repeating the same kind of genocide against the Palestinians.”
