Israel Foreign Ministry Spokesman Aryeh Mekel on Wednesday released an official statement in response to the announced arrest of Ben-Ami Kadish in America, accused of spying for Israel from 1979-1985.

Mekel ignored the actual new case, but stated since the Pollard affair, Israel has not been operating any spy activities in America, stating the governments have held to the agreement between Yerushalayim and Washington.
