According to an al-Quds website report on Sunday, April 7, 2019, the IDF foiled an attempted abduction from along the Gaza border involving either an IDF soldier or border fence worker.
News13 explains that the attempted abduction occurred along the northern Gaza border, when a shepherd was stopped by IDF soldiers near the border fence. When he was questioned, soldiers learned he was a member of the Islamic Jihad and was sent to monitor events along the border as part of the plot to kidnap a soldier or civilian fence worker.
According to the report, the terrorist organization denies the allegations, adding it remains committed to the ceasefire understandings.
