Lachish district police on Thursday reported yet another incendiary balloon bomb device near the Kiryat Gat cemetery.

Police and bomb technicians were summoned to the Kiryat Gat cemetery Thursday morning after someone phoned in the suspicious object to police. The police sapper who arrived at the site neutralized the incendiary device. The police noted the vigilance of the civilian who reported the object and avoided unnecessary self-endangerment.

A video released by Israel Police focused on educating the public to distance oneself from a suspicious object, including balloons and kites, as are often sent across the Gaza border but they are not innocent, but explosive devices are attached to them.

While Hamas has announced it is halting the incendiary balloons and kites, in actually, they are still be sent across the border from time-to-time.
