Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita was hospitalized in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on Sunday evening 24 Sivan 5773 for observation after falling in his home. The Gadol Hador was making his way from his study room when he fell. It appears that he passed out for a very brief period of time.

After consulting with the rav’s physician, it was decided to take him to the hospital for observation. Hachovesh Har Nof was summoned and the rav was transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem complaining of leg pain and weakness.

Aryeh Deri published an update on his Facebook page stating “I just left the rav’s room and he spoke with me and asked that I thank all those who are davening on his behalf.”
