Whiles the election polls do not reflect them all, there are over 40 parties competing for the 120 seats in the upcoming election for 21st Knesset. One of those parties, which hasn’t a chance of getting enough votes to get into Knesset is the ‘Nach Nach’ party affiliated with a stream of the Breslov Chassidus.

The party on Wednesday, April 3 published a rather interesting post, in which Sharon Knafo writes he plans to ease travel for the general public to Uman.

“I’ll share with you one of the things we want to do about travel to Uman,” writes Knafo. “I have not written it before, it’s the first time.”

“As long as we cannot bring the tziyun to Eretz Yisrael, we will turn Uman into Eretz Yisrael. Our Rebbe and master said, ‘My place is only Eretz Yisrael.'” One of the most prominent issues among the party members is bringing Rav Nachan’s remains from the Ukraine to Israel.

Knafo explains: “For example, you have to operate the airport in Uman, where there will be landings and takeoffs – so you do not fly to Ukraine but [directly] to Uman.”

“A flight to Uman will not be considered by the law as a regular flight abroad, but rather a ‘treatment’ in Uman – defined as [being an extension of] the Land of Israel by its holiness; to facilitate travel to the site for those under Bituach Leumi care and those who are recipients of an official order banning their leaving the country.

“It is also necessary to ensure that prisoners are able to arrive, not dangerous ones of course and etc., as defined by law, with electronic shackles or police escort, if necessary, in order to receive treatment [at the tziyun].”

He feels everyone should be able to visit the tziyun due to the holiness of the site and purpose of one’s visit, to be mispallel at the site.
