Police have arrested an Arab resident of eastern Jerusalem, a carpenter who took money from at least twelve persons, advances on projects which were often not completed or done so in part, as well as delivering sub-standard merchandise.
Shai (Shomron-Yehuda) district police received complaints to date from 12 persons, launching the investigation into the dishonest carpenter who collected tens of thousands of shekels from his victims.
The resident of the Beit Haninah area of Jerusalem was arrested a week ago, and among the charges against him are making threats, extortion by threats and fraud. Police explain that during questioning, he linked himself to the allegations against him. He has been arraigned and his detention has been extended until April 2, 2019, at which time he will be arraigned again.
