Poll Pertaining To Knesset Election And The Needs Of The Chareidi Tzibur In Israel


Election Day, April 9, 2019, is rapidly approaching and this has led ‘Kav Itonut’ to conduct a poll on “on the burning issues to the chareidi community” as Kav Itonut puts it. 574 families representing all types of chareidim were interviewed in the poll, addressing pressing matters in the chareidi arena.

What matter in your life and that of your child, has been dealt with the most in the last government?
41.8% Housing shortage in the chareidi communities
30.3% The cost of living and high taxation
12.2% Public transportation and traffic jams
7% Poor educational conditions in educational institutions
4.7% Healthcare system collapse
2.1% Neglect of the adult population

Which of the following parties will best tend to your problems?
35.7% Likud
31.6% Blue and White
8.8% Zehut
6.8% Labor
6.6% Shas
5.5% New Right
2.5% Yahadut Hatorah
2.1% Kulanu
0.4% Gesher

Which portfolio dealing with your day-to-day life of you and your children should the chareidi parties try to obtain in the next coalition government, with the exception of the current portfolios it holds.

In response to the results of the survey, Minister of Housing & Construction Dr. Yifat Shasha Biton of the Kulanu party told the “Kav Itonut”, When I took office, my first step was to divert budgets to public housing and the weaker populations.”

“As far as I am concerned, in my next term, I will continue to promote the issue of ‘price for the occupant’ and assistance to public housing for the entire population, including the religious and chareidi sectors,” the minister said.
