The Arad family, residents of Kibbutz Gavim, decided not to remain home for Seder, opting to travel north for some rest and relaxation.

They returned home on Monday to the rude awakening but familiar Color Red alert, signaling of an incoming rocket attack.

Family members did not even have time to seek cover, they did not event get from their vehicle to their home when the rocket landed on their lawn, spraying shrapnel in all directions, striking three-year-old Amir in the shoulder.

Amir was transported to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, where his condition is described as light. There were also reports of property damage to a number of homes.
