Approximately one hundred people were treated in Bnei Brak’s Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital over Purim, many with head injuries, fractures, cuts and bruises and even one person who lost consciousness as a result of a vehicular accident.
Hospital officials report that their experience from previous years led them to prepare for the day in the various departments, including the pediatric emergency room, adult emergency room and increasing the paramedical staff as well as other departments.
Among those injured were many children, including a 10-year-old who drank so much alcohol that he passed out and remains hospitalized. B’chasdei Hashem, his condition is improving.
In addition, nine persons remain hospitalized; including a 30-year-old who drank so much, he too required medical care. He remains in a cardiac intensive care unit.
