On Thursday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Yad Vashem Holocaust museum, the Kosel, toured the Western Wall tunnels & Wilson’s Arch excavations and visited the Shaarei Teshuva synagogue in the tunnels.
Pompeo was joined by Prime Minister Netanyahu and US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman. Pompeo became the highest-ranking U.S. official to visit the Kosel with any Israeli leader.
Also Thursday, President Trump made a surprise announcement that the US will endorse Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
