According to a statement released by COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories), Israeli and PA (Palestinian Authority) firefighters participated in joint training operations, extinguishing fires in four different venues. The drill included six firefighting planes supplied by Israel, along with two PA and six Israeli fire trucks.

An Israeli spokesman, Lt.-Colonel Salim Saad reported from Jenin that the joint training event took place on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, telling the press this is an annual event, citing the importance of the event, and that there have already been ten such joint exercise. Saad added the joint events are aimed at “improving the knowledge and fitness of both Israeli and Palestinian firemen in Yehuda and Shomron.”
